Die Peripherie-Erweiterungsmodule von Moxa, die mit seriellen Ports, LAN-Ports, Switch-Ports und PCI-Steckplätzen ausgestattet sind, verschaffen den Endanwendern maximale Flexibilität beim Einrichten von industriellen Anwendungen.

Diese Module sind in verschiedenen Ausführungen erhältlich. Dazu gehören unter anderem Module mit seriellen Ports, LAN-Port-Module, Switch-Port-Module und PCI-Module. Alle sind jedoch voll kompatibel mit Moxa-Embedded-Computern, die über Peripherie-Erweiterungssteckplätze verfügen.

Zu den Modulen mit seriellen Ports gehören ein 8-Port-RS-232/422/485-Modul entweder mit DB9- oder Klemmleistenanschlüssen und ein 8-Port-RS-422/485-Modul mit Klemmleistenanschlüssen. Einige Module verfügen sogar über eine 2-kV-Digitalisolation. Diese Ausführungen eignen sich uneingeschränkt für die erhöhten Anforderungen von industriellen Anwendungen, die mit serieller Datenkommunikation arbeiten.

Daneben sind ein 4-Port-LAN-Modul, ein 8-Port-Switch und ein 4-Port-Glasfaser-LAN-Modul für die Realisierung industrieller Datenkommunikationsanwendungen mit Geräten auf Ethernet-Basis lieferbar. Ebenfalls erhältlich ist ein Universal-PCI-Entwicklungskit für PCI-basierte Geräte, mit denen sich industrielle Anwendungen zu angemessenen Kosten erweitern lassen.

Alle Module sind so konzipiert, dass sie beim Einrichten von Anwendungen und beim Abwickeln industrieller Aufgaben ein Maximum an Flexibilität bieten. Insbesondere ist das Austauschen von Modulen vom Anwender schnell und einfach zu bewerkstelligen.
