Die Computerplattform UC-8100 ist für Embedded-Datenerfassungsanwendungen konzipiert.
Der Computer verfügt serienmäßig über eine oder zwei serielle RS-232/422/485-Schnittstellen und zwei 10/100-Mbps Ethernet LAN-Ports sowie einen Mini-PCIe-Anschluss für Mobilfunkmodule. Dank dieser vielseitigen Kommunikationsmöglichkeiten kann der Anwender den UC-8100 effizient in einer Vielzahl von komplexen Kommunikationslösungen einsetzen.
Der UC-8100 basiert auf einem RISC-Prozessor vom Typ Cortex-A8, der zwar für den Einsatz in Energieüberwachungssystemen optimiert wurde, aber auch für ein breites Spektrum von industriellen Lösungen verwendbar ist. Mit seinen flexiblen Schnittstellenoptionen kann dieser kleine Embedded-Computer als zuverlässiges und sicheres Gateway für die Datenerfassung und -verarbeitung im Feld, aber auch als nützliche Kommunikationsplattform für viele andere großtechnische Anlagen dienen.
